Green Homes Grant Skills - Government Funded Support and Training now available
At the end of December, the Government announced the successful applicants to their Green Homes Grant Skills Training Competition. The aim of the funding is to support the delivery of the Green Homes Grant scheme through
- provision of training in a range of skills, including installation of energy efficiency measures and renewable heating
- support to help existing contractors achieve TrustMark registration and/or MCS certification
- support and training to help existing contractors gain PAS2030 certification
- training in Whole House Retrofit knowledge and awareness, including training in Retrofit Assessor and Retrofit Coordinator skills to PAS2035 standard
While the Government closed the Green Homes Grant Voucher scheme at the end of March, there are several other Government funded energy efficiency schemes that continue to operate and require retrofit assessors, coordinators and contractors with the appropriate skills and accreditations to install insulation and renewable heating systems.
If you’re a contractor looking for support with any of the above, or looking to qualify as a Retrofit Assessor or Retrofit Coordinator - this is a fantastic opportunity to access government funded training and support.
